Should I Remodel Bathroom To Sell My House
The answer to this question really depends on how long it will be before you think you will be selling your home. If you are selling in less than 3 years, I definitely would not remodel. You just won’t get enough return-on-investment. If you aren’t selling for the next 5-10 years, then doing a complete bathroom or kitchen remodel project would prove to be a better choice. Keep in mind, if you know you will be moving in 5-10 years when remodeling – stay with a classic look that will last in regards to the design style.
When to Just Freshen Up Your Home
If you are selling in under 5 years, I would recommend just freshening up your home such as:
- Painting high traffic areas, doors & trim
- Changing out hardware on doors & cabinets
- Replacing faucets & toilets
- Installing new countertops
- Replacing light fixtures in the bathroom or kitchen
- Remove wallpaper and apply a fresh coat of paint
These are all cheaper options that brighten and freshen up a room without the large expenses of a complete remodel. This should help you when you are considering should I remodel bathroom to sell my house.
