Exterior Home Ideas for Seniors
One of the easiest things to do but effective for safety is putting in a peep hole in your front door. Nothing new, but most people don’t have one. To add to that, you can have installed a security camera(s). In fact, some of them are super simple, such as the Ring unit you find at Best Buy. It will ring you to your smart phone and you can answer as though you are home.
Don’t forget to install motion sensors and timers on your front and back door lighting. Also, in the garage, have installed slip resistant ramps to have access inside your home easier, especially in the winter months. Having non-slip aggregate flakes or poly-aspartic coating to your garage floor is a great add-on safety measure.

Let’s move indoors and see how we can make it a bit safer. Let’s consider putting in a curbless shower and a shower seat bench so you can sit down and not fall during bathing. Adding in grab bars in the shower and toilet area is a great addition to safety too.
Don’t forget, if you need an estimate on your exterior projects, give me a call.
