Kitchen Remodeling Ideas Naperville | Check Out Georgia’s Kitchen!
I cannot wait to reveal our latest kitchen remodeling project from Naperville, IL. The Lotz team demo’d the project down to the studs and started from scratch. The customer wanted an updated kitchen look and to join the kitchen and dining area to make it flow better.
Beginning Process
I met with the homeowner to discuss her needs and desires. After that, I worked within her budget and created a plan. After securing all necessary city & village permits, my demo team took the two rooms apart down to the wood studs.
Kitchen Installation
Let’s look at what the client wanted installed in the new kitchen area. I will admit, some of my potential clients are considering general contracting the project themselves. They totally can, but some just don’t realize all the many trades that they have to coordinate with. Here is a quick list of what we did at this kitchen remodeling project and what trades were needed:
- Installation of new electrical outlets, installation of new electrical lighting;
- Installation of plumbing fixtures;
- Installation of wood flooring;
- Installation of kitchen cabinets;
- Installation of granite countertops;
- Installation of glass-stone blend backsplash;
- Installation of new appliances
To summarize, we needed an electrician, plumber, wood flooring installer, carpenter to install the kitchen cabinets, granite company to field measure & install the granite countertops, tile installer for the backsplash, and finally a reputable appliance store to install the appliances. Sometimes too, you need an HVAC contractor to move venting for the microwave appliances. That’s a whopping total of 8 contractors that you can deal with, or pay me, a professional knowledgeable general contractor to bring into your project.
Final Product
Check out the final reveal in this video that shows the before and after video. You will see what a difference we made in this kitchen. The homeowner loves her new kitchen. What a great place to create new family and friend memories.
